A sad song?

Sometimes what you perceive as something sad may actually be something that's going to make you happy. It's like when you listen to a sad song, and at first it's going to make you weep and cry, but when you hear it over and over again, you'd realize that just like you, there are hundreds and thousands of people who cried and weep when they hear the song, and you'd be comforted by that thought.

Ultimately, it's how you make your brain think. If you force yourself to be happy, to smile wide even though you're rotting inside, what'll happen is you'll stop rotting, and the smile will get more and more authentic. But if you were to be sad when in fact there're things that could make you happy, then your heart'll start to rot.

So, tell me, do you choose to start rotting, or would you choose to stop the rotting that's happening?

Of soy sauce and assassinations.

Soy sauce. If you were to live in Penang, you'd most probably see a lot of soy sauce factories strewn about in near Sungai Pinang. The unmistakable salty scent of soy beans fermenting, the familiar sight of clay barrels containing these fermented beans, and the eerie darkness of the dark liquid. I'd dare say that almost every household'd have a bottle of soy sauce.

For some people, soy sauce is the key ingredient in making their dish palatable : while eating sushi, frying stuffs, eating porridge,... Heck, even yesterday, during my friend's bday party, there was a bottle of soy sauce lingering around for people who'd like to eat the hard-boiled eggs with it. I personally could live without it (I think I'm the only person who eats sushi without the soy sauce + wasabi :P), but I do know some people who loves it so much they'd have every dish with it if they could.

So, you may ask what does soy sauce have to do with assassinations. Well, here's the answer.

Like the character in Assassin's Creed, the Food Standards Agency recently announced that a lot of the soy sauce marketed out there contains a cancer-causing chemical, 3-MCPD which will not bring any harm to people like me, but it's what'd be a silent killer to all those people who ♥ soy sauces. If you were to buy from major retailers, it's okay, but if you were to consume the Taiwan/China/HK/Thai brand, do be aware of the fact that there's a possibility of you having cancer because of it. Read the article that was published about the dangers of soy sauce here.

Anyways, even if you don't consume soy sauce that often, do balance out the level of saltiness and sweetness of your food intake. Too salty, and you'll have kidney failure, high blood pressure, etc coming your way. Too sweet, and you'll have diabetes. Moderation is the key, people!

Review : Biore Nose Strips

My skin is not sensitive; but I do have one problem : 'strawberry' nose. Because I'm allergic, my nose is always mucusy, and the wiping action caused my nose to be filled with whiteheads. Plus, it's prone to pimples! I used to use the white coloured nose strips, but I never get the 'satisfaction' of a clean nose, so today I'm going to do a review on the Biore Pore Strips (black-coloured).

Basically, the Biore Pore Pack removes blackheads completely with Witch Hazel Extract formula; sebum clogged in pores can be easily removed; and your pores will become less noticeable. You can see how the pore pack works at the picture above.

On the pore pack will be cuts wear you should tear open first before using. Wet your nose thoroughly (the pore pack won't adhere to dry skin), and apply the pore pack on your nose (it should cover the entire nose area). Leave it on for about 20 minutes (not too long or you'll have a hard time taking it off), then slowly peel it off, working from both sides to the tip of your nose. IF you were to leave it on too long and find it too painful to remove, wet the pore strips; it should be easy to remove afterwards.

The results....

Can you see the whiteheads? There's actually more, but it won't show on camera. You may find it gross, but staring at the whiteheads is very addicting XD After you peel the pore pack off, apply some toner and moisturizer. I love doing an ice mask after that, just to make sure the pores will go back to its original size, instead of being enlarged. DO NOT use this more than twice a week cause it'll end up increasing the size of your pores instead!

Boobies : Determining your bra size.

In case you don't know, a bra is the most important thing when you dress up - it can either boost your confidence and make you look good OR make you slouch and make your boobies look weird. Buying a comfortable, high quality bra that don't dig into your skin and/or irritate your skin is important, but the fit is even more important. A bra that's too small will make you feel uncomfortable, and will suffocate your boobs, plus, you'll be spilling all over! A bra that's too big will cause you to keep pulling the shoulder straps throughout the day. http://www.85b.org/bra_calc.php is a great website for you to know what's your cup size and band size. It's really simple - measure what's needed when you finish showering and you'll get the correct size immediately. But keep in mind that bras in different styles MAY make you have a different band size, but the cup size usually won't differ. The most important thing when buying a bra is to try it on, and see if whether the band rises up your back (that's a bad sign), whether the hook (on its loosest) is too tight, whether you can fit two fingers under the band...

I bought both of the bras above at La Senza with the expectations that I'm a C-cupper, but it turns out C is a lil too big for me :P So I had to downsize to B, and it felt great! I was impressed by the salesgirl - she took one look of me in the bra I was trying and said I should be wearing a B cup bra. I just went to 85b.org and it turns out I'm a 34B - so she was right! My shirt instantaneously look nicer when I'm wearing these bras underneath it, and because the underwire don't dig into me + the fabric is really smooth, I think it's worth the price! (I bought it for 2 at RM89, with an RM15 discount)

Bad bras really do kill a great dress. I've seen a lot of people with their bra bands riding up high, and their boobs spilling over - and it's not a great sight. It's funny how girls are bothered by transparent bra straps and lacey bra but they never notice how their shirt looks when they wear a bad bra. So girls, DO get professionally fitted, or just go to www.85b.org to have an online measurement, and head out to buy some brand new bras!

I'm working with kids right now, and I learnt that it's important for an adult to listen to what children say, or they'll never say anything to you if you continue ignoring them. Sometimes these kids'll go 'Lynnie sister!!! You listen or not???' And I'd be 'Yes, listening! Listening!' And they'd be very happy cause I'm listening to what they have to say. It's ironic how things this simple'd make children happy. Sometimes, I think us adults ask for too many things and we expect too much out of something/someone. Don't you agree?

Review : Beautymate Bright Up Nano Eye Mask

I bought a box of the eye mask when I was at KL cause mm was complaining about her dark circles. We were sleeping late and waking up early hence the dark and baggy undereye. I was looking around at the Guardian at our hotel building and they only have this and the MJ ones so I decided to buy this cause we can get a sheet mask free of charge :)

There were 7 pieces in a box, each of them individually wrapped. On the cover it says Beautymate Bright Up Nano Eye Mask 'eliminates dark circles and tightens eye zone'.

At the back : 'Japanese Nano Technology : The newly imported nano technology combined with a close-fitting mask cutting can effectively release essence nutrients into skin cells to bring you a unique skin care experience. Research has shown that Vitamin B3 can interfere the transmission of melanin up to the dermal cells, thus help to minimize dark circles and signs of tiredness. Yeast extract also helps to prevent the formation of dark circles and improve skin texture. Algae extract can enhance blood circulation and stimulate metabolism, keep your eyes healthy and energetic, bright and fresh. Effects : Enhances blood circulation, whitening, moisturizing.

This eye mask was LOADED with essence. And it kinda surprised me cause the essence is milky, not transparent. The two eye sheets were thoroughly soaked, and to avoid it from moving around, I wiped the essence of the sheets, and after applying the eye masks, I massaged the essence around my eye. And after that, there's still a lot of essence left - what a waste!

Can you see the essence smeared around my eye? Like any other masks, apply this mask after you've cleansed your face but before you put anything on. They say to leave it on for 15-20 minutes but since it was really wet I took it off after about 35 minutes. After I took it off, I found out the essence dried up on my skin, so I just washed it off with water - but the directions said to wipe it off with a cotton pad (which I assume should be moist with water/toner so no difference with washing it off).

The results were impressive! My dark circles were reduced and so did the puffiness. I mean, it's really obvious if you were to compare this pict and the first one. Plus, those tiny wrinkles (yes I do have them XD) around my eyes were slightly reduced. I'd use it in the mornings the next time cause I always wake up with puffy eyes.

The Beautymate Bright Up Nano Eye Mask is available at Guardians, Watsons, Sasa and Jusco Wellness stores. I can't remember the price (somewhere around RM39.90?) but I know you can get a facial sheet mask worth RM5.90 when you buy a box of these.

I remember writing this once, while waiting for my brother to come drive me home after band practice. A friend of mine read it, and her comment was : "Well... I don't think there's going to be a song so magical. But I can tell you what's going to be even magical than a song like the one you wrote. A friend." I cogitated deeply after that, and I have to agree with her. In my search for those perfect songs, I forgot about my family, my friends, the people who'd help me whenever I need them. And now, I cherish the people who've been through everything with me a lot more than I used to. I was stupid, but at least I realized it before it was too late.

But the thing that really made today a great Valentine's (though I don't have the picture to show you guys) is a hibiscus flower that a particularly silly boy plucked for me because I was whining about the absence of presents this year. And the jokingly-said 'I ♥ U sister' that another silly boy said to me. They made my day a hiatus, but it's worth it ♥ :)

Bday dinner!

Not mine, but Mm's and Bang's. We had it at How Kee Seafood Village at Bukit Tambun (in case any of you'd want the address : No. 1617, Jalan Besar, Bukit Tambun, 14110 Simpang Ampat, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia.) - a great place to go if you want great seafood without burning a hole in your pocket! Plus, the service is real great, the waitress was smart enough to know what we want just by our descriptions AND the food came real fast. Not to mention the mouthwatering dishes XD We went there on a Friday but we went there late (like around 9+) so there weren't that many people around. But if you were to go there during public holidays, do give them a call (04-5882736) to book a table - especially if you come in big groups.

Mm, Bang and I. Bad quality cause it was taken by Go who's impatient at everything XD

Go. And also the person who belanja-ed us for the dinner :) Someone getting richer by the day LOL. Oh btw, if any of you have any computer/laptop/handphone problems or if you wanna buy a new comp/lappie/hp, do contact him!

After about 15 mins or so, our food came!

Mixed vege. It tastes like your day-to-day mixed vegetables, quite good cause the cauliflower was still crispy.

Balitung (a shellfish where you have to suck the meat out) with sambal and dried shrimp. ♥ it to the max. I love shellfishes but I know a lot of people who don't so it's an acquired taste.

Sambal prawn in bamboo. The dish was lovely - spicy but not overpoweringly so, and the prawn was still sweet and fresh. There were around 10-12 prawns (can't quite remember but I know they'll cook according to the number of people eating so no worries)

Salted egg crab. I ♥♥♥ the salted egg crab but it turns out Bang don't like it... He says it's not as nice as the one mm always cook LOL. It's actually just crab cooked with salted egg and curry leaves. The nice thing about this is that the crabs were coated with egg yolks so well that you can just eat the legs! It's worth a try if you haven't try it before. It doesn't taste salty at all... It tastes sweet!

We also had a fish dish. Ikan merah (literally translated to red fish) but I didn't took any picts of it cause Bang is a huge fan of steamed fish and when the fish came he digged in right away. Hey, it's his bday dinner, after all.

What's left on our table XD Btw, DON'T order the chinese tea - it's real bitter and tastes bleaurgh! But the dishes that I mentioned just now +bleaughish chinese tea +barley to compensate for the bitterness of the tea +six bowls of rice (cause four bowls aren't enough) costs only RM108!!! (that's around 27 ringgit for each person - which is very cheap if compared to how much seafood costs here in Penang.) It's worth the 30-minute drive there!

My family awlays have a lil bit of a thwarted bday dinner LOL cause we don't eat cakes. I mean, the last time we had cake was when I bought one for mm during Mother's Day... The cake rotted and was thrown down the chute. Our clan ain't a fan of cream and stuffs like that, so... :) But it's not a bad thing... It just means more room in our stomach for good food XD

I went on a four-day trip with mm and Go at KL last Monday. Was actually planning on going to casting on the first day (plans cancelled cause of some errors by the publishers' side) but we left quite early for that reason.

Mm who's our 'drink-giver' cause she's sitting at the back and whenever we want something we'll be like 'ma, this' and 'ma, that' XD

Me. Trying to look cool but phaillleddd. I served as the tissue passer to the driver who was down with flu.

After hours of pointless discussion, reminiscence, and song-singing, we've arrived! Decided to head on to Tugu Negara (Malaysia's National Monument) cause we've never been there before.

The entrance. On it is the national emblem that states 'bersekutu bertambah mutu' which means cooperation increases quality.

At the back of me is the memorial statue. It was freaking hot hence the bad lighting cause the sun was shining from the opposite way :/

On the memorial statue it states 'To Our Glorious Dead' 1914-1918, 1939-1945 and 1948-1960. I was showing the peace sign cause I hope all those fallen soldiers were resting in peace XD

'Dedicated to the heroic fighters in the cause of peace and freedom. May the blessing of Allah be upon them.' The national monument. I was saluting NOT shading from the sun. Though the sun was scorching, it felt real great to be there. I've always seen people 'acting' the monument but I've never seen it before. And it's HUGE. I'd always thought it's this small statue. Guess I was wrong :)

Then, we headed to a restaurant named Quan for a very late lunch.

Totally forgot to take pictures of our food! But it tasted yummy! Go had the butter chicken (which is the nicest), I had the tomyam chicken while mm had the dumpling kuey teow. We had banana split for dessert, which tasted nice too LOL. They offer set lunches too! If you're a KL-ian do go there for a visit and to taste the food there :)

Thanks to everyday.com.my (now LivingSocial Malaysia) I get to eat a 8-course Indian Set Meal at a discounted price (can't quite remember how much XD but what I know is it's worth it cause it's for 3 person... Do head on to everyday.com.my to check out the deals they offer there!)

The shop was decorated well, with an Indian-ish feeling to it. It has two floors, and if I'm not mistaken, on certain nights, they've a live band performance there too.

Went there with mm.

And Go with Bang.

We had to pay for the extra rice and drink we ordered cause we had one extra person with us.

The appetizer. It is delicious!!! It's some sort of fried onion (didn't get the name :/) but it's real crispy and the oniony taste is not that strong ♥.

We had rice, tandoori chicken, curry mutton, a fish dish and another chicken dish, which tastes equally good. The mutton didn't smell muttony, the chicken was marinated well, and the fish tasted fresh.

Ifs.

Someone asked me how things would've been if Rylee weren't dead. It took me aback. I guess it's been so long that I don't really ponder with the ifs and the what-nots. No one reminded me of her, and the friends that she used to have slipped away from what's left of her life. I won't exactly say they've forgotten her, I'm just saying that maybe, just maybe, she's no longer a part of their lives. She's a memory, a vague past, and that's it.

I got over her, and so did everyone else that knew her. At times, when I look at the mirror, I'd see a piece of her in my eyes, but things like this are so insignificant, it no longer evoke any emotions. Promises that were made were broken, friendships lost, thought forgotten. What should be a continuance of her legacy turned out to be a faint glimpse of what her life used to be.

I no longer know how things would've been different if she was still here. I no longer fret about whether or not she'd be doing this or that if she's alive. Sometimes I think of how a life so young, so precious, was ripped away so harshly, and a tear or two'd flow from the corner of my eyes, but at the end of the day, there're things that we've to get over, bridges that we've to cross, memories that we've to let go.

I'd hope that that particular friend of hers would be a friend of mine, but I tried, and there wasn't a response, so who am I to force bad memories onto someone? When she died, all of us mourned for her, now, I smile with joy, because I know that she no longer live in misery, that she's no longer in pain. I think, today, I can say this and really mean it : I've let go of her. Have you?

Identifying your skin type is crucial to have great skin. The product that you're using to cleanse, tone, moisturize and pamper your skin should cater to the type of skin you have. Unfortunately, a lot of people either don't know their skin type or identified their skin type wrongly.

The easiest way to identify your skin type is to rinse your face with 10 splashes of lukewarm water (by lukewarm I mean neither hot nor cold - using too hot of a water will dehydrate skin while water that's too cold will cause wrinkles!!) and pat it dry after. Remember to always pat your face after washing instead of rubbing it! Wait for about 45 minutes, and look into the mirror under a light. If your face feels tight, and looks as if it's in serious need of water, you have dry skin. If the light reflects all over your face, then you have oily skin. If the reflection only occur on your T-zone (forehead, nose, chin), then you have combination skin. Sensitive skin are easily irritated, and people who have sensitive skin usually know their skin is sensitive.

Now that you've accurately identify your skin type, make sure your skincare regime caters to it. Facial washes, toners and moisturizers comes in different kinds of formula. Even masks caters to different skin types. Use the wrong one, and you'd most probably end up not having a beautiful skin.

DIY Pumpkin Scrub.

It's been a while since I last did a DIY mask post cause of the abundance of masks I have.
But last week I was grocery shopping with my mask and I saw a pumpkin that was at the reduced price section and thought about using it to scrub!

Pumpkin promotes smoother, younger looking skin by increasing cellular turnover and renewal. Pumpkin is high in Vitamin A, C, zinc, alpha-carotene, potassium, lutein, which means that it has skin-healing and antioxidant properties! The zinc helps purify blemished skin while the enzyme in it gently exfoliates skin.

I used fresh pumpkin instead of canned pumpkin paste because I want it to have a rough texture (hence the scrubbing effect). I put it in the microwave to soften it a lil bit and also to make it warm so that I'll have a warm scrub.

Use a fork to mash it up (but not too fine - you'd want the roughness). The next step is to choose your binding ingredient - milk for whitening, yoghurt for further cleansing, honey for moisturizing, egg white for binding. If you're lactose intolerant, you can even use soy milk (feel like trying that XD).

I used milk cause that was the only thing available. The amount you have to add is approximately one-third of the amount of the pumpkin you're using. Scrub your face like you would when using a facial scrub (do make sure your face is cleansed first), wash it off, tone, moisturize and voila! you'd have an absolutely amazing face XD

I actually still have leftover pumpkin so you'd most probably see another pumpkin DIY mask!

I'd drink Calsberg Gold every single day, smoking shishas in between, and even get drunk til the point where my cheeks are flushed and I can't walk a straight line. I'd have strands of highlighted hair, or I'd just dye my whole bed of hair a certain bad girl colour (think purple/pink/two toned). I'd change boyfriends every other day, not to mention spending the night with them ever so often. I'd sometimes smoke pot, going to pubs, dancing the night away. Night's my day, while the sun's my enemy. I'd not care about my future, and live for the present. I'd be the gossip of my family, heck maybe even my friends. I'll be labelled as 'the bitch', and parents'd want their kids to stay away from me.

But I'm not a bad girl. I don't drink. I don't smoke. I don't switch boyfriends like I do undies. And I certainly don't have one night stands. I have pure, black hair. I don't do drugs. Nor do I go clubbing. I don't care what people say, I don't mind being labelled as 'hard to get', 'innocent'. I made a choice: to love myself, to think about my future, my family, myself. And guess what? You have it too. You can choose to succumb to peer pressure, to indulge in all these things, and when you choose to do it, don't blame anyone else for it. It was your choice. Your decision.

And even if you do drink, smoke, do drugs, etc, don't be selfish. Don't drink and drive. Don't smoke at no-smoking places. Don't steal people's money just so you could get another dose of shit to smoke. Don't spread the STDs you have by having multiple partners.

Remember, you are who you're going to be. And the world's going to treat you the way you treat yourself. Respect yourself, and others will respect you in turn. If you're planning to stop, stop now. Throw away the cans of beer in your fridge, the cigarette in your pockets, the secret stash at the trunk of your car. Don't procrastinate. Your life'd most probably end tomorrow because of your irresponsibility.

I went shopping with mm at Queensbay Mall the other day and while we were at this Japanese beauty shop (it's called Magicboo) I came across something that made me.... excited!

It's a DIY Facial Mask Kit! There were a few brands but this one looked the sturdiest (+ the description was the clearest... it was the only one in Chinese XD) If you're wondering why I'd get excited over something so... simple, it's cause I ♥ DIY facial masks. And this'd make making all those masks an easier chore! I mean, no more shattered bowls and plates and now I can feel like I'm having more of a professional facial XD

The kit includes...

A face mask bowl where the making of face mask occurs. At the back, it states that this bowl is made out of flexible plastic material which = easy cleaning! Plus clay masks are much much easier to clean out when you're using a plastic bowl cause when you use a glass bowl the clay will sink into the 'pores' of the bowl, so...

A stirring stick/spoon that you use to stir masks and apply masks that are more of a solid kind (think mashed bananas, grapes, or sugar/salt scrubs, etc)

Measuring gauges of different sizes : 2.5ml (half a teaspoon), 5ml (a teaspoon) and 15ml (a tablespoon). This is great cause my face masks always come out a lil bit weird in texture because I tend to over/under add ingredients.

And last but not least...

A mask brush! I have been looking for this all over! People always recommend using makeup brushes but the ones that I see at Sasa/Guardian/Watsons all shed real baddd and I don't think buying an expensive brush to apply masks is worth it so I had always used my hands (which is bad whenever I apply liquidish masks... think yogurt, milk, etc). This mask brush is sturdy, and it doesn't shed (not that I'll know after trying but the bristles are really great), yet it's soft! Mask brushes are great when applying masks cause it'll help in reducing wastage of face masks.

This kit is NOT microwavable so if you want a hot mask maybe you can heat the ingredients up first before mixing it in the bowl :)

I bought this for RM8, and I know there's another one with a bigger bowl that costs RM10 (I don't need a bowl that big so I didn't buy it but it's blue in colour), and I also know that you can buy the brush individually for RM4, and 5 of the stirring stick/spoons for RM4! For all you international readers, you can get it at ebay for $2.08 (cheapest but different brand from mine).

Totally looking forward to use my mask kit to make a DIY face mask! Currently have pumpkin mask in mind... Will do a how-to on it soon! XD

Beaches = bitches... again.

Jia Ying came back from Australia a few weeks ago, and we (wifey, baby, baby's wife, JY, me) went to GP for a girls' day out (I'll blog about this some other day!). After that, we wanted to go out again but GP was meh and QB was too far away for some of the girls so I decided to go to the beach!
And this time around, we even went swimming and rode a crazy ride XD The pictures will show you guys how much fun we had (welll... partially cause I took hundreds of picts but only 5% of it will be here :D)

While waiting for the bus. We missed two buses cause I had to go pee :P. Ohohoh I managed to convince them to trust me in guiding them cause like I said, even if we were to get lost, we'd still be in.... Penang! XD

In the bus. The bus stopped at the red light and I was like quick quick camhoeee!!!! So it turned out blurry but it's one of the few group pictures of us. I regretted not bringing my tripod!!

Went down to the beach behind Sandy Bay Paradise. I actually planned to go to the beach in Taman Negara but plans changed and here we are!

If you know me you'd know I suck at jump shots. Cause I jump rope so I don't jump high.

We were lying down and posing when JY started talking about how worms will climb on us from the sand and stuffs so I was like OKAY let's stop taking pictures XD

The ride we were on! We actually wanted to ride on the banana boat but the guy convinced us to ride on this and since it costs the same + I've never rode on this before, why not? It was fun, but I wished I was thrown into the water. Okaylah I'm crazy XD.

Look at us! A dot! I actually expected the guy to take like hundreds of pictures but he only take 15+ pictures =.= That's what continuous shots are for, people!

It costed RM15 per person (discounted price). I think the normal price is about 30 per person? Not that sure but I know banana boat is cheaper. Btw, if you're interested in riding on this, HAGGLE! Cause the price on the price list are usually 200% profit price, so actually, they can reduce half the price. And if you're europeans/ang mohs, it'd be great if you have a local friend with you cause they'd usually not haggle with ang mohs. Oh the rides are cheaper at the beach along Batu Feringgi though.

I have no idea why YX's and ET's lips are the same here (maybe they got ESP or stg). We headed to Paradise's washroom to clean ourselves and the whole experience was.... LOL-ish!

We took the bus back to Belisa Row where we went to Buckstar's to eat muffins while waiting for JY who went for her dental appointment. Took lots of pictures there but err... LAZINESS took over me :)

After JY finished her dental, we went to Matsuki to have lunch... and camhoed again XD. This is us looking drunk. If you're wondering why I'm blowkissing it's cause I'm so drunk I'd kiss people... Get it? XD

My CNY's the same every year, waking up late, not bathing, bathing last minute, going to granny's house, eat the snacks there, collect angpau from granny, go to uncle's house with granny....

BUT there's a twist this year : I was wearing a cheongsam! I had always wanted one, and granny bought one for me! ♥ it so so much! What do you think of it?

And by the time we arrived and dropped granny at uncle's house, we were so hungry we terus headed to Sebai-sebai (our favorite Thai restaurant)....

I didn't take any pictures cause everyone just digged in once the food arrived.

But this fish was the best. Can't quite remember the name, but it's the only fish dish that has a Thai name.

It tastes sour+spicy, like tomyam but wayyy nicer than tomyam, and it has this pineapple-like vege that's very crunchy. And the fish was so fresh it was still swimming when the dish was served XD

To those of you who celebrate CNY, happy new year!

Every Saturday, mm and I'd go to the night market in front of Tesco Extra to eat some delicious food, watch people's behavior and chat about... everything.

Our first stop's always the Laksa stall right beside the road. It costs RM3 per bowl, and is quite delicious, with just the right amount of fish meat and vegetables.

See the fish meat? Oh and be sure to ask them to not put chillis if you can't stand the heat cause their chillis are really kao!

Then we'd visit the Ice Kacang (shaved ice) shop which is ALWAYS full. Wanna know why???

Their Ice Kacang is really really delicious! I ♥ the gula melaka (brown sugar) one because it's really special! It's RM2.50 per bowl (with ice-cream). There's also the rose-flavoured one and the sarsi-flavoured one. And they also have chendul (which I've never tried).

The great thing is this bowl of shaved ice is filled with nuts! Peanuts on the ice, peanut butter in the ice cream.... It made me nuts!! XD

Then... it's time for my weekly dose of kacang ~~putih~~ (I can't remember what it's called in BM but it's steamed chick peas). The thing on the furthest right is what I usually buy. But if I'm late (say... 8.45pm) the kacang will be sold out! Just proves how nice it is :D

I occasionally buy this home made crackers. Not all the time cause I think it's kinda expensive (RM2.50 for a packet... and it won't even last an hour). They sell prawn crackers, fish crackers and sweet potato crackers. ♥ the prawn one, never tried the fish one, and the sweet potato one is kinda like an acquired taste.. you either like it or you don't.

Jack fruit. Have you ever eaten a jack fruit you bought from the supermarket and feel all bloated and dizzy after eating it? That's cause you aren't eating the fresh one! Jack fruits that are freshly eaten will not cause any bloatness (is that even a word???) or any dizziness.

You could also get a bowl of 'sharks' fin' in the flavors original, spicy and super spicy. It costs RM3 each and seriously, for something that cheap, you really can't expect them to have real sharks' fin in it, right? I had it once and it tastes... okay :)

And you can also get kitchen tools, toiletries, etc for a cheap price of RM1 each! The quality'll surely suck, but hey, who's to complain? XD

There's a lot of stalls at the night market, namely food (cakes, fruits, breads, drinks, muar chee,...), clothes, and some other random stalls. There used to be a stall that sold fake My Beauty Diary masks and I wanted to buy one of it just to make a comparison but the last time I went there the stall was nowhere to be seen, so :(

My family celebrated the eve of Chinese New Year at the Paradise Sandy Beach Resort.

All dolled up and ready to go eat!

Review : Montagne Jeunesse Cucumber Peel-Off Face Masque

It actually felt like my dead skin was being lifted off from my face!

After peeling the mask off, your skin is left feeling soft, smooth and looking brighter!
The peel-offs are my ultimate ♥ whenever I need a quick skin fix cause it only takes about 20 mins or so and there's close-to-nothing mess left XD

Review : Guardian's Acai Berry Face Mask

For the past few days, I had been walking around town, under the scorching hot sun, and when I looked in to the mirror... ZOMG! I have a burned nose! And whenever my nose is sunburned, it's not the red-lobster kinda sunburn, but it's the coal burn!

So I digged around my mask collection for a whitening mask and I came across the Guardian's Acai Berry Face Mask.

This mask caught my eye when I passed by the mask section!

I don't know if it's a new mask range by Guardian but I know there's only two kinds, the Acai Berry one and the caviar one, which is for moisturizing.

The Acai Berry Face Mask claims to contain 'powerful anti-oxidant properties which brighten dull skin'.

'Guardian Acai Berry Face Mask is specially formulated with rich Acai Berry Extract and Lemon Essential Oil. With its anti-oxidant properties, it helps brighten and soothe dull skin, leaving it soft and smooth.

I was 4 tones tanner even though A) it was gloomy B) I was holding an umbrella and C) I had sunscreen on!

If it wasn't for the umbrella and the sunscreen I would've been 7 tones tanner :/

The mask was thoroughly soaked with essence, but it wasn't dripping wet, and though the size is a lil bit off (I can't seem to find a mask that fits my face just right so I'm okay with it), it clinged on to my skin real well (you know those kind of mask that seems to be soaked with essence but never seem to cling to the skin? I hate it!)

And there were lots of essence left in the satchet too! I love the extra essence because I get to massage it on my neck and hands and legs and stuffs.

And I usually keep another dot to massage on my face after I remove the mask.

Ah... the joy of texting. It was 1 AM and I was bored to death and other than chatting with Go (who keeps photobombing me... in his underwear!!! He should thank the stars I didn't post it on here or he would've been labeled as a pedophile :P) this was my only source of entertainment.

After 25 mins... It should only be left on for 15 mins but I kinda got engrossed with texting XD

I was 3 shades whiter! :O Never thought it'd work. And the effect lasted! Which is amazing (for the price of the mask), and I was very surprised by it XD

Really really ♥♥♥♥ it.

I love the sun, the sea, the salty air....

I love the people sunbathing, the kids building sandcastles, the surfers surfing....

I love how when I'm in the water, I'm a dot in the vast ocean, and how the waves would push me back to the shore, as if it's making sure I'm safe and won't get washed away.

I love how the sun shines and the water glistens when sunlight hits it.

Heck, whenever people ask me to plan trips it'll always involve the beach XD

Asking me to choose between the beach and the mall is... pointless cause you know what I'd choose.

Maybe my first date'll be by the beach (if my date knows me enough to know I love beaches) :P

Review : My Scheming Crystal Whitening Brightening Eye Mask

Lately I've been sleeping late and waking up early, which means that my eyes are raccoon-like!

So I decided to use one of the few eye masks I have lying around my room (I ♥ buying masks so there's tonnes of them all over my room cause I always lay them down on my bed and randomly choose one of it XD)

And today, the 'lucky' mask I chose is the......

My Scheming Crystal Whitening Brightening Eye Mask!
I don't know why a company would name itself 'My Scheming' cause it sounds like some kinda scam...

But I guess it's a direct translation from Mandarin, so....

I was wondering how to translate the brand name when I spotted the small sticker on top.

The words 'My Scheming' were inscribed there so I guess it's the brand name in English...

But DO make sure the masks you buy from this brand have the silver sticker(the small square one) cause it's an authenticity sticker. Beware of the various cheap fake masks that some sellers sell!
Disclaimer : I'm not affiliated with D Ladies Secret Enterprise in any way but it was there when I bought it... I guess this company's the official distributor for this mask in Penang but I'm not sure!

I actually thought the eye mask is silver in colour but it's transparent! (the top one was stuck inside the package just like the one I reviewed before here which made me think that all crystal masks act that way)

This mask claims that it is made from natural, high quality crystal that will dissolve when in contact with the skin, and it will lighten eye bags, make the skin around the eye more moisturized, will oxidize the skin around your eyes, make it more firm, decrease fine lines and decrease dark spots, making your eye area bright and fresh-looking!

I translated it from the back of the mask in case anyone out there who bought it don't know Chinese :)

Cleanse your face before applying, and make sure that the skin around your eye area is dry and free of any cream cause the crystal may not stick.

The flat side should be the side that's stuck on your eyebags (you can feel that the outer side have more of a curve to the sides)

I placed this mask very near my eyes because the sides are gelatine-like, thus it did not poke my eye like some of the normal eye masks did.

While waiting for the 25 mins to pass....

I wondered about my future XD

I did this at midnight so I was afraid I'd fall asleep if I were to lie down and close my eyes :P

When I took the mask out after 25 mins (wellll maybe a lil bit more cause I daydreamed til I forgot the time XD), the mask was thinner! And it's noticeable cause you can really feel the difference in thickness.

I was amazed cause the crystal collagen eye mask didn't thin out.

The results...

I know my eyes still look raccoon-like here but my eyebags did lighten up a lil bit!

Plus my lines reduced a lil bit too! I'm sure you're wondering how a young girl like me have wrinkles around my eyes, I don't; but I do have laugh lines cause I laugh all the time... And this mask managed to lessen it...

I bought this mask for RM4.50 at Georgetown Pharmacy but I found out it's cheaper at Watsons and Guardian pharmacies.... :/

There are other kinds as well but I forgot... Will update when I check it out!

Review : Rimmel GlamEyes Day2Night Mascara

I recently received the Rimmel GlamEyes Day2Night mascara to review on, so here it is!

This mascara is a multi-tasking, 2-in-1 Defined Length/Intense Volume Mascara.

It's a drugstore dupe for MAC's Haute & Naughty Lash Mascara, which works the same way...

The top cap (length) is for 'exceptionally defined and ultra-lengthened lashes' while the bottom cap (volume) thickens lashes with voluptuous, oversized volume.

The mascara smells nice... which is kinda weird cause most mascaras smell weird XD

Now, on to the application.

The lashes on the left is coated with one coat while the one on the right is coated with three coats.

I know it looks like the one on the left have more mascara but I think it's because I combed my lashes after applying three coats so it didn't clump together, which is why the lashes on the left looked denser.

There's a large misconception that this thing comes with two brushes, but it actually only comes with one!

The length cap needs to go through the tube on the volume cap, which is smaller, so when you pull the length wand out, there's less product.

Can you see the product being pushed at the end of the tube?

Can you see how the amount of product on both pictures differ?

But they're both the same brushes! I can't really explain the concept but if you guys don't understand do ask me :)

Oh and normally if you were to pull the volume wand out there'll be no overflow of mascara at the bottom end of the brush but I was experimenting so the mascara was kinda hanging there XD

The one thing I hate about this brush....

There's a lot of product on the tip of the brush!

It's a pet peeve of mine cause this excess mascara is the reason why our lashes would clump, and it makes the application harder.

Which is why every time I apply this mascara I have to dot the tip on the back of my hand.

I know most of you don't do it cause it's a waste of products but it's a great way to ensure your application is even and to make sure your lashes won't clump!

I personally love the length side more cause the volume side tends to clump on my lashes, and the product's a lil too much on the volume brush.

Plus, the length side looks more natural :)

Colours. I'm always intrigued by it, by what it represents, by the emotions it brings me, by the way it makes my world so... colourful.
When two of the three prime colours combine, one secondary colour will form, and not only does it holds a shade, the colour can be manipulated to 'emote' the different thoughts an artist have; yet when all three combine, a white colour'll be formed. Though it's mostly due to physiological reasons, it still intrigued me.

Confrontations.

If you know me, you'd know I'd be the first person to run away whenever a situation that requires confrontations arises. And by confrontations, I mean situations where you have to confront someone (eg. a hater), and there's going to be an exchange of curse words and raised voices (be it online or real-life). Yes, I'm hot-tempered, and I curse a lot, and I DO confront when I need to, but I try to avoid them whenever I could. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I'm not brave enough, it's just that sometimes it feels pointless to go yabbing off with someone that's going to think they're right and you're wrong. These confrontations usually ends in a bad way, and it'll strain the relationship you have with the person you're confronting even more (especially if neither side were successful in one particular confrontation).

But when I confront, I confront. Which means that I'll stand by what I think and not budge an inch. I never ever confront people, but I always get confronted. No idea if it's the 'bad' image I have but people seem to always have these wayward thoughts about me. Most of the times the people who confronts me will eventually back down (which made me feel great but more about that some other day XD).

Personally, I think it's shite how people can easily get worked up because of some silly rumors, jealousy, or even their personal insecurities. It's funny because once I was confronted and the rumor's so silly I started laughing (like, serious mwahahahahaha laughing) while my friends who were sitting next to me was :O and the girl who confronted me was like why are you laughing and she stormed off and I still didn't stop laughing XD and my friends were like 'Lynnie you're so cool' which made me laugh even more. Well that's just to tell you to NOT confront me cause I always have the hysterics when people do.

Another great reason to not confront: you won't be emo cause of it! Confrontations usually would drain your mind one way or another. Even when I'm ignoring the person who's confronting me (I usually ignore them when they do it online XD), it kinda disrupts my peace of mind cause I'd go, seriously? And if you're the confronter, you'd be even more disrupted cause not only do you have to brace yourself to start confronting, you'd have to arrange words to start the confrontation, AND you'd have to be the one who backs down (if you lose). So, my point is, don't confront! Or you'll end up being old and yammy.

Dreams... Everyone has it.
To me, dreams are like the air that makes a balloon expand, and each dream that you have'll be a balloon attached to you.
When you're on the path to fulfill that dream, you're blowing air into the balloon; when you don't work on that path, the air in the balloon will seep out of the pores of the balloon.

Thwarted dreams...
A lot of people'll let go of their dreams when it's thwarted.
And these dreams that you let go, it'll be the balloon that's flying on the air, rising, rising, trying to get to a place where it'll soar where it'll eventually pop.
There's nothing wrong with letting go of dreams, cause sometimes we have to be realistic, and too many balloons will only cause instability in your life.

Over-hoped dreams...
It's hard to let go of dreams, especially the ones that you put a lot of hope in achieving.

To me, for someone to be able to say 'My dreams came true' (and mean it) is an incredible thing, and it's something to be proud of.
Not many people can do it, and even when death is nearing, a lot of people can't say they've achieved everything they want to achieve.

I personally have tonnes of dreams. Some may be a tad unrealistic (like being a princess :P) while some is what makes me, me.
But I think no matter if your dream is unfulfillable, or if it's something that is defying the odds, everyone should have a dream, because dreams are what makes life worth living, even when you've achieved it.

Bangkok Seafood is located near the quaint Sungai Ara on a road called Jalan Mahkamah.

And let me tell you, it may be the fastest restaurant I've ever been to.

We received our dish in less than 10 minutes after we ordered.

Considering the amount of people that were there, it was fast!
BUT the service was meh. Like, real meh.

We ordered a set meal that included 5 dishes, four bowls of rice and a jug of juice.

Ayam masak pedas (spicy chicken)

It was nice, the chicken was juicy.... Acceptable.

Sotong goreng kunyit (turmeric fried squids).

The squids weren't overcooked, which is great.

Tomyam dish.

The biggest let down cause there were only one prawn... But the taste wasn't bad.

Ikan masak masam manis (sweet & sour fish).

Their signature dish... it was nice :)

To those of you who wants to avoid the hassle of waiting for hours for your food to come on a weekend, this'd be a great place to go to.

Just don't expect smiling waiters XD

Behold crackled nails!

I absolutely ♥♥♥ nail polishes, and I love experimenting with them.

Well I had always wanted to try out the new Crackle Nails thingy but the OPI ones are expensive :(

But Cosway was selling the ones from Lilan Vital so I decided to try them out.

So, the steps....

First, apply the base coat.

I'm using the Lilan Vital's 5-in-1 Nail Coat.

Base coats are important as they help prevent your nails from discolouring!!!

The base coat I'm using have a pinkish tint to it but it's not that visible in pictures.

Oh ya, do file your nails BEFORE applying any polishes.

And make sure they're clean!

You can even buff them so that the polish would glide on nicer :)

Then, apply a base colour.

I'm using Elianto's nail polish in 04 - Platinum Pearl, which has a glittery tint to it.

You can apply some other colours like yellow or orange or neutral as long as it's not black XD

The base colour with (left) and without flash.

The base colour is the colour that's going to fill the cracks so make sure it's applied in a thick, even coat.

Make sure the second coat is dried up before applying the crackle nail polish.

For the crackle effect, I'm using Lilan Vital's Crackle Nail Lacquer in Black.

They have some other colours too, but I forget which :/.

They're available at all Cosway stores for RM16.90

While applying the polish. :)

The nail polish dries up real quick so you have to be quick.

I did the middle, left, right stroke twice without letting it dry up.

Cause if you were to wait you'd have an ugly crackled nail XD

While the polish is half-dried.

The cracks became bigger and more visible after it's dried up, and the finish is a matte black colour.

Apply a top coat so that your polish will stay on longer and to have a nice, polished nail.

I use my base coat for my top coat even though I was told I shouldn't XD

Few weeks ago, we had a colourguard outing (which most probably is our last outing ever...)

Everyone made it, which is great, and we headed to Seoul Garden for lunch/bonding session :D

The attendees are....

Amanda (if you know her you'll know why she looks grumpy XD) and Yi Xin.

Khye Lee.

And Qiu Yuan.

We had the I-can't-remember-what-it-is soup which is spicy...

And the I-also-can't-remember-what-it-is soup which wasn't spicy...

We spent our time cooking... and screaming because the thing keep squirting oil at us.

Seriously because when we grilled the squid the squid oozed water and when water reacts with oil.... kaboom!

The customers that were sitting next to us (instinctively) moved a lil bit further from our table.

It's not like we're bad cooks! It's the sotong! Bad sotong!!!

CG!!! This is what we started with (welll there's Joelle but hey let's not mention anything about it :z) and I hope we'll end with more people...

And I hope the tradition of CONSTANT CG outings will continue XD

Then... the four of us decided to camhoe....

From 'decent' to crazy XD.... But Vern still kept her 'kiss' for her bf look at her hand there d but mouth smiling.....

Review : Montagne Jeunesse Hot Miracle & Ultra Shine Serum

Have you ever stared at your hair and wonder... why is it so flat, dull, lifeless, and damaged?

I don't use conditioners because I don't get the point of doing that, but recently I find my hair getting.... limp.

So I whipped out one of the hair masks that I bought with the whole pack of MJ masks....

The Montagne Jeunesse Hot Miracle Hair Reconstructor Oil contains cherry bark and avocado that'll reconstruct damaged, bleached and coloured hair.

I guess it's not made for my limp hair but hey, no harm trying :D

I forgot to take the back of this so I can't quite tell you the details but what I know is that this packet is divided into two (obviously :P), one for the hot miracle, and the other for the ultra shine serum.

So... why's this hair mask called 'Hot Miracle'?

It's because you have to soak it in hot water before using it XD

I was expecting this to be one of those self-heating sauna masks that heats up when in contact with your skin (or in this case, hair) but unfortunately, that's not the case.

Soak the mask in hot water (maybe you should use a bigger glass XD) for about 5-10 minutes.

I suggest soaking it before you take your bath, and after you finish shampooing, the mask would most probably be heated up already.

Then, apply this mask to wet hair and leave it on for about 10-15 minutes.

Wash it off and dry your hair as you normally would and voila! you'll have great hair immediately!

Oh and I only use about one third of it, so... great deal! XD

I don't use the ultra shine serum...

Because I used it once a long time ago and it's very greasy and the smell's off-putting so I had to wash it off :/

I guess if your hair were coloured or bleached then the serum would be great in providing moisture for your hair.

But if your hair's as perfect as mine :P, then you can skip this part.

Your hair'd be so bouncy it's advertisement-worthy :D

I used this mask once about three weeks ago, and I still haven't use it again lol.

This mask feels like a conditioner, but with a stronger effect.

Plus this mask isn't meant for my hair so I think I'm gonna have to give the leftovers to my bang...

Welll we had our A&F about 3 weeks ago...

I still didn't get what it meant...

Which was cute haha.

My 2011 has been an eventful one...

I (oficially) joined the school band.
And ended up having a blast there.
Though there were more downs than there were ups, it still was a great experience.
I got to know lots of people better, and a lot of people get to know me better.

I made lots of new friends.
Tokoh Nilam, Penang Youths,...
I made lots and lots of friends through this, and these friends made my year much much more bearable XD.

I lost a friend.
And I often think about it.
It's hard to get over, no?

I didn't celebrate my birthday.
And Christmas.
And New Year's.

I graduated.
With my head held high.
PCGHS had taught me loads of stuffs throughout the five years I've been in it, and had gave me the chance to experience things that I may not experience some place else.

I experienced rejection(s).
And learnt how to deal with it.
Rejections sucks, but hey, that's what make acceptance sweeter.

I got a tan.
The worst I've ever had, but I guess it's not a bad thing since people say I'm sexier with it :D

I became a teacher.
I taught lots of people, be it my cousin, or my juniors.
I found that it takes a great deal of patience to be a teacher, so I guess that's not a career path I'm taking lol.

I won stuffs.
I think I won, like, 4 competitions this year.
Which is a lot cause I never win.

I loved.
I hated.
I laughed.
I cried.
But the best thing that happened to me in 2011 is... I lived.
I lived a year fully, without regrets, and without wishing time would reverse.

Montagne Jeunesse Apricot Scrub Review

This is not a before pict XD

I've been going back to my school to teach my CG juniors recently.

And the harsh weather + the sweat + my tendency to touch my face every 5 seconds are making my skin go woots.

My skin looked dull, my pores were clogged, and pimples were popping!

I was wondering what mask I should use when I saw this Montagne Jeunesse Apricot Scrub!
It claims to deep exfoliate and ultra cleanse, which is exactly what I needed to clean my skin.

"Bursting with sweet Mango this rich facial scrub deep cleanses & revitalizes. Crushed Apricot Kernels remove dead skin cells while Aloe Vera soften & soothes leaving skin radiant. Exfoliate with this treat weekly."

Sounds nice, no?

When I first tore this thing open I was surprised that it smells like mango.
I didn't read the back, and totally didn't notice the mango on the lady's eyes.

And I was like, hmmmm where's the apricot smell did they packed the wrong thing?

Then I read the back and I went ohhh mangoooo.... XD

This mask have a sweet mango scent to it, but it's not too overpowering.

The exfoliators in the mask are the apricot kernels.

I actually was a little bit skeptical cause the St. Ives one is too harsh and made me break out :(

Plus the kernel looked huge, so I was like will it scar my skin instead?

Okay so I was trying to look like a ghost but phailed!

The kernels did felt a lil bit harsh and prickly.

But I think it's cause I'm too rough so I tried moving around in a gentler motion and it felt NICE.

Since it's a scrub and not a mask, you don't need it to be thick.

Two fingerfull is enough for my face, and I managed to squeeze three uses out of a packet.

But I guess if you were to scrub your neck you'll only have two uses out of it.

The results : welll it really did cleansed my face, and my face felt soft and cleansed afterwards.

And it didn't cause any breakouts, which is great.

The Montagne Jeunesse Apricot Scrub is available at Guardian and Watsons for RM5.90 per pack.

I bought this in a pack so it was cheaper.

But this is one of the best MJ masks around.

Mm bought a crabby deal (XD) at myooo.my and we decided to use it a few days ago.

Driver of the day.

I was clenching my seat cause it's his first time driving us somewhere!

Not that I don't have faith in him but LOL.

Oriental Seafood is located at Gurney Drive.

The place was packed since it was a Saturday (and it's the hols now!!!) so we had to park at GP and walk there.

There's jockey service for those of you who're too lazy to find a parking spot for your car.

Mm bought a coupon from everyday.com.my where we get to eat their specialty curry fish head with a special price!

Do check out everyday.com.my for great daily deals that'll save you lots of money :)

The restaurant is located at Lebuh Union, Penang (beside Maybank).

It has a nice interior, with a warm lighting and some vintage stuffs as decors.

A plate of ulam was served once we were seated.

The sambal was so-so. I expected something spicier but it tastes sweet.

A post is never complete without my face in it XD

Had iced mocha.

Quite nice, actually.

It has a hint of milo-ness in it XD

The fish head curry.

It actually have more of an asam pedas taste to it.

But the fish head was fresh, thus no weird fish smell that I hate, and the meat is soft and nice.

And the gravy was thick enough that all four of us could enjoy it.

Personally, I don't think the package was that worth it.

Cause we had to order other sides with it and when you add the total bill (+drinks) together, it's $$.

So.... :)

Seaweed Mask

I ♥ eating seaweed.

I read about the benefits of seaweed here.

And I thought, hey, why not make a mask out of it?

So, I did.

And the results.... read on to find out!

You need a seaweed about this size.

If you buy the individually packed seaweeds (the smaller ones), you'll need two of it.

If you bought the one I did, then you can just tear it into two.

Oh and buy roasted seaweed, not the flavored one!

Soak the seaweed in water for about 30 sec to one minute.

The seaweed should have a texture of a sheet mask.

Oh and IF the seaweed folds over when you take it from the water, don't try to open it.

It'll only make things messier.

Clean your face first.

Then, use the seaweed as if it's a scrub, scrubbing it all over your face (avoiding eyes and lips).

I usually squeeze the water out first before doing this cause I don't want the seaweed to be dripping water.

Wait for the seaweed to dry up (about 10 mins)

You can feel your skin getting tense when the seaweed dries.

Wash your face after that.

Beware! The seaweed is kinda hard to wash off.

But the results is totally worth it.

You'll get glowing skin and your skin'll feel soft and moist.

Plus, if there's any redness, the seaweed'll help soothe it.

Really really absolutely adoreee them.
So I was thinking of telling you guys why I love babies so much :D

1) They're super adorable... *croons*

2) When they just wake up, their blur face is ADORABLE!!!

3) And when you talk to them (in baby language) they'll stare at you like you're a crazy weirdo.

4) Nurish (that's her name) is learning how to talk, and every time she sees me she'll go kaki kukiiii (it's supposed to be Aunty Zureen LOL) How cute is that???

5) And when you start doing crazy things they'd go 'shit I need to get away from my crazy aunt'.

6) When you give babies something, they'd stare at it curiously (in a cute way)!

7) And then they'd eat that thing you gave them.

8) And when they're emo/moody they'd give their sad face and have a faraway look.

10) But most of all.... They're the best teddy bears ever!!! XD

Now you know why I love babies.

I get along with babies so well.

Haha even babies who don't know me can go googoogaga with me :P

This love of mine aspires me to be a pediatrician, so that I can meet (and cure) wonderful children and babies.

My skin's not perfect (I have a pimple on my forehead right now :O)

The three simple steps to achieving great skin is cleansing, moisturizing, exfoliating and pampering.

Cleanse twice a day (I heard people with dry skin should only cleanse once but it depends on how dirty your skin is)

Moisturize twice a day (right after cleansing, while your skin is damp)

Exfoliate (I exfoliate with a cloth when my skin feels oily, but I use my Organic Aid Moisturizing Scrub weekly)

Pampering... with masks, be it homemade or store-bought. (I do this every four days... or whenever my skin feels dull and I feel like pampering myself :P)

Review : Montagne Jeunesse Morello Cherry & Iced Mint Tired Leg Gel

I fell down at Gurney Drive yesterday, which is one of the thousands of siasui incidents that happen to me all the time....

Well after falling my feet was okay, but today it was nyut-nyut-ing!!!

My ankle always hurt because of previous injuries but this fall made my toes go :(

So....

Say bye-bye to tired (and sore) leg with the Tired Leg Gel by Montagne Jeunesse!
This was the first product I bought from MJ last year.

And boy can I tell you, it got me hooked on MJ products ever since.

MJ ♥ bunnies and don't test their products on animals.

And their ingredients are eco-friendly!

Clean your feet thoroughly. (Ignore my nails :D)

You can even give it a scrub/soak it in hot water before using this to decrease your foot pain.

What I learnt after using countless MJ products is that the smaller the slit, the better!
Their masks can usually last up to 3-4 uses, and the mask won't dry up easily if the slit is small.

The texture is gel-like, but it's not runny!
It looked like it's gonna drip off my fingers but it took about a minute before it finally dripped down.

Massage the gel onto your feet (and lower legs if you want to but I don't).

The gel is absorbed real fast.

The Morello Cherry smells nice.

For the first 10 minutes or so, it'll seem like it's doing nothing.

But then the Iced Mint will kick in and your feet will feel minty and cool!

Then, as they say, your feet will feel as light as a feather!!

And it'll help relief ankle pain for about a few hours....

This mask usually lasts for about 2 weeks for me (I use it every night... I know, it's worth it, right?)

So to ensure your mask/gel can last that long, keep it in a container.

The sorbet that was in this container tasted shit but this container is real cute :D

And make sure your container's airtight!

Egghead.

Remember I talked about using eggs as a hair mask in the previous post?
Well today I'm gonna talk about it!

What you need :

An egg.

Mix the whites with the yolk.

Olive oil. (About a tablespoon)

Eggs help strengthen your hair, but sometimes people'll find it drying so olive oil will help moisturize your hair.

IF you have an oily scalp, use water instead.

Lemon can be used if you want your hair to be a lighter shade.

And if you want your hair to be darker, use coffee!

Some people even use honey, baby oil, etc... Do experiment and see what suits you :D

♥ the dripping oil!!!
Pour the oil into the egg and mix it.

Be careful not to mix it too hard or the egg'll froth.

Which ain't a problem but it'll make the whole process messier.

There's two ways to do this.

You either apply it to wet, clean hair and wear a shower cap for about 5-10 minutes and rinse it off.

OR you do it the way I do it, which is to apply it to dry hair and wait for the egg to dry.

Then rinse the egg off and shampoo your hair.

You'll know when the egg's dried up cause it feels like your hair's sprayed :)

Do wash it off real well cause you don't want your hair to smell like rotten eggs the next morning lol.

I don't use conditioners, and the shampoo I'm using is Johnson's Baby Shampoo ♥

Here are some tips for great hair:

1) Condition before shampoo-ing! No idea why but it'll be better for your hair. Google it and see if I'm right :P

2) Do not over-condition. Once a week is actually enough. Over-conditioning (+ over-shampooing) will actually lead to dry hair and split ends.

3) Do not overuse products. A 50 cent amount is actually enough to shampoo your whole hair (for short haired people like me).

Oh ya!

Always shampoo your hair BEFORE you wash your face.

It's obvious why you should do this.

If you were to wash your face before, all the dust and dirts from your hair will flow down your skin and clog it when you wash your hair.

Washing your face after will make sure your face is really clean.

An eggy mask.

Great skin is important (to girls, anyways) and there's a mask that I vouch for that'll make your skin soft, smooth, glowing and moisturized.

And it costs less than RM1!

Excited to know what mask it is????

It's an egg mask!!!

Eggs are great not only when we ingest it, but when we apply it on our face too!

Egg whites tightens skin, removes dead skin cells, draws oil from pores, removes whitehead and helps to heal and nourish the skin.

Egg yolks removes dead skin cell, moisturizes skin, thus making it soft, supple and smooth.

First, separate the whites from the yolk.

This egg mask is divided to two parts : the egg white mask, which will give skin a healthy glow and the egg yolk mask, which will moisturize skin.

You can use it both at once too but I prefer it this way XD

First, the egg white mask.

Beat the egg whites till it froths.

Collect the froth (we're putting in on our face) and keep the remaining whites in the fridge.

Apply an even layer of egg white (either with your hand or with a foundation brush) on your face and neck.
I know some people don't 'mask' their neck but I think the neck is important too, so... :)

You'll know when the mask is dry.

Your smiling abilities will be restricted.

And the egg whites should be dry when you touch it.

Can you see how the whites are creasing my skin?

Rinse off the mask once it dries up.

DON'T wait more than a minute after the mask dries up cause your face will go all red-ish after that. (no idea why but I learnt it from experience :P)

After rinsing, dry your face, and it's time for the egg yolk mask!

No need to beat the egg yolks for this, just apply it onto your skin.

But sometimes I love to beat it a lil just to loosen it up (but stop beating before it froths up!!)

When the egg yolk dries up, you'll look like an old lady when you smile LOL.

I guess this's how I'll look like 50, 60 years to come XD

Rinse the mask off and voila!

Great, healthy skin is in your hands.

With proper skincare, great skin should be on your fingertips (wait did I use this expression right?:P)

Use this mask once a week and exfoliate twice a week if you have oily skin and once if you have normal/dry skin.

Oh and do have a skin patch test first cause I heard some people have bad reactions towards eggs.

And I was told organic eggs are the best but hey, I'm poor... so XD

Oh and if you're wondering what you can do with the leftovers, you can either:

A) cook it

B) refrigerate it (it can last for up to 3 days) and use it on someone else

C) use it as a hair mask (that post's coming up soon!)

I have this friend, let's call her M, and I have another friend, N for short.
Well N recently broke it off with another friend (oh wait do I hear the name Lynnie??? XD), and she said M is the only person she can trust.
I didn't quite care about M and N cause wth I didn't have that much time to give a damn anyways.
But then the other day M was crapping about N in front of me.
And I was like huh? I thought you're great with N.
And M was like : Hell you're so lucky you don't have to listen to N being emo.
And that made me think how life is full of biatches.
And why M and I never quite get along well.
Whenever I hear N talk about how great M is, I'd be lol-ing cause hell...
Oh well who am I to care anyways since N is like wayyyy closer to M and surely won't trust whatever it is I'm saying about her.

Let it go!
I love reading people's blogs, how they'd write about life and let readers have an insight on what's going on with them.
But whenever I hear rants from people about their ex-best-friend, ex-bf, and stuffs, I just feel like saying just let it go!
Writing on your blog about how much you no longer need him/her is so not gonna work.
Cause the reason why you're writing about him/her the first place is that you can't get him/her out of your mind!

And what do you expect will happen from that post of yours?
That he/she will experience this great wave of remorse and go running back to you, asking you to forgive him/her?
I mean, whenever I read these posts, the only thing I can think of is the writer oozing bitterness and hatred.
And us readers know how actually they really can't let go.
I read this post a friend of mine wrote to another friend of mine.
It's totally a 'I don't need a biatch like you in my life' post.
The 'biatch' and I end up having a great laugh about it.
'Biatch' : Does she seriously think I need to be reminded how big of a biatch I am?
Me : Eh it's working what you're reading her blog lol.
'Biatch' : I read her blog so that every time I see her I can laugh at her in my head.
Me : Walau eh you're evil :P

And I always imagine how the writer would look when they write these stuffs.
I usually can imagine it real well cause I do rant in my blog sometimes.
So if you were to go to someone's blog and see that someone's blog post about how there's no regret, that life's better, that the someone they're writing about is a biatch or a son of a biatch, stare at that someone's profile picture, and imagine this : flared nose, twisted mouth, eyes rolling back and forth,.... And you'll get a great laugh out of it. Even profile pictures with the most beautiful ladies have succumbed to my imagination.
Oh and if you intend to write about that someone, I think the most effective way is to be straight forward rather than being sarcastic.
Cause sarcasm always make people go 'huh?'

I don't like writing about people in my blog.
You all know how often I'm misunderstood. (A friend told me this may be because I'm effing sarcastic but hey Lynnie's like the most sarcastic person in the world what to do ah?)
Bleaurgh whenever someone misunderstand me it makes me sick to the stomach and I totally hate it.
So these days I try to avoid unnecessary confrontations cause truth is, my heart can't stand that much pressure :P
Most probably a line or so to those people who I'm really beh shiok at (for exe. the gov XD)

Though I have to admit sometimes I really get a great laugh when reading someone's rant about someone else.
Cause they'd use every word imaginable to describe that someone, and some of the phrases are... laugh-inducing.
You'd be like gosh that person the writer's writing about would either really be a biatch or the total opposite.

Oh ya.
I do know how beautiful my life is without you :)
No need for you to constantly remind me of that.
(Haha saja wanna be sarcastic about someone let's see who perasan and misunderstand that two sentences)

Review : Garnier Lightening Peel Off Mask

I bought and used this product a few months ago when I had a bad breakout cause of the meh moisturizer.
So my skin ain't as great as it is right now :)

If you guys know me, you'd know that I absolutely love face masks.
A few months back, I bought three Garnier masks, and I realized I didn't review them at all!
So, here is a review on the Garnier Lightening Peel Off Mask

On the cover, it states that this mask instantly illuminates complexion and contains pure lemon essence.

This mask contains 2 6ml satchets.

"This peel-off mask is a real "anti-dull skin" solution to gently remove impurities and dead skin cells that darken complexion. It instantly reveals a brighter complexion. You recover a naturally-healthy looking glow and skin texture is refined.

Put on a thick layer of mask, laid back and waited for it to dry up.

Oh ya this mask can actually be used for up to 4 times if you're stingy ( I am :P)

After about 15 minutes...

The peeling process begins!

This is the part where I love the most.
Oh ya I do have to remind you to be gentle cause you don't want to tug your skin too hard.

You know those masks that never comes off in one piece and is an ass to peel off?

Well, this was nice to peel :)

And the results....

The one on the left is before, the right's after.

Not that much of a difference :(

I do see my skin having a slightly brighter feeling but in pictures in looked like I became darker (lighting problems, maybe?)

My skin felt a lil bit softer but that's what happens with all masks, so...

Garnier Lightening Peel Off Mask is available at all drugstores (Guardian, Watsons, Jusco's beauty section).

I can't remember the price, but I remember buying it when it was discounted.

If I'm not mistaken I paid less than RM5 for it but the actual price is around RM6?

First of all, allow me to say this.

I don't usually apply perfume.

No idea why but I don't get why people have to smell... artificial all the time.

I received a package recently.

And haha I immediately knew what it is.

It's the new Burberry Body EDP Spray!

I'm sure lots of you have seen the ad for this perfume where Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is like oh-so sexy in a raincoat (and ~~nothing else~~ underneath :P)

This perfume smells peachy, with a woody undertone to it.

It also have a rosy, vanilla-ish smell to it.

Since I'm no perfume crazy girl, I really don't know how to describe perfumes.

But this do smell.... sensual. LOL.

The spray is long and cylindrical, and it has some carving on the top.

Very pretty :)

The fragrance is available in Parkson, Sasa and Burberry stores for RM310 (60ml) and RM395 (85ml).

You may get it cheaper online, so... ^^

I wondered where I am.

Standing here, lost, searching for something unsearchable.

Though I love how my life's sailing right now, I still hate those waves.

Sometimes I wonder too much.

Overcontemplating stuffs.

I look at people, and I try to dig into their minds, their soul, to know what they're thinking, to understand how they're feeling.

The slight squirm, the split second frown, the lost eyes, my eyes see them, and my mind decipher each and every one of these actions.

My brain's kinda like the lunatic freak in me lol.

Oh well. It's not like I can block myself from thinking, from wondering, from contemplating.

And it's not like these things are harming me in anyways.

In fact, come to think of it, it actually helps me notice things, things that people don't usually notice.

Review : Crystal Collagen Eye Mask

I have no idea why though I have 8 hours of sleep every day, my undereye bags are still woots.

I think it's because of my allergies (people who blow their nose often will have undereye bags)

So I love those eye masks that promises wonders :D

I bought the Crystal Collagen Eye Mask at Watsons.

There were soooo many eye mask there and I don't know which one to choose so I chose this cause it's packaging is the most attractive XD

At the front, it says that it's moisturizing, pore minimizing and whitening.

At the back, it says that it is a sheet form transparent mask composed of ingredients including natural extract, collagen and purified water. Most of the essential ingredients are absorbed directly to the skin, unlike paper masks.

I had a hard time taking it out cause it was stuck to the plastic wrap!

I had to dig it out and put it on this clear thingy. So the tear you see on the top mask is because of my nails digging into the mask that was stuck :P

I know... I know... uneven eyes wth. It's worse at night.

Anyways, you can see my bags are woots! My allergy's been worsening these few days so it's even wootsier!

The mask adhered to my skin really well, and I didn't have a hard time putting it on.
It's big enough to cover my bags well, and it didn't move around even when I did those silly expressions I always do LOL

I waited for about 35 minutes (15 minutes more than the recommended time cause the mask was still oozing essence).

Even after 35 minutes the mask was still moist and I was thinking of putting it on the whole night :P

My bags shrunk a little but that was it.

There were golden glitterish residue on my bags that helped make it looks like it's gone (In person, not in pictures).

The residue made the tops of my cheeks brighter in pictures! XD

I can't expect much from just one use but :/ not sure if I'm gonna repurchase it.

Maybe I'm gonna try all the other masks and see which one's the best.
